Janice Muirhead, Project Associate

Janice joined AlbertHall&Associates after a long and successful career in not-for-profit management and consulting. With more than twenty years of experience in leadership and management positions for a number of America’s most prestigious theatres, she has a broad and detailed understanding of the issues facing arts organizations in today’s complex business climate. A proven administrator, teacher, and consultant, Janice has distinguished herself with demonstrated expertise in strategic planning, resource development, general management, and the management of both internal and external relations in complex producing environments.
Janice has served as Executive Director, Artistic Administrator, and Director of Production at such nationally renowned theatres as the Long Wharf Theatre in New Haven Connecticut and the Westport Country Playhouse. She has provided consulting services to many organizations throughout the Tri-State and New England regions and often serves as a guest lecturer at the Yale School of Drama, offering graduate seminars in production administration, contracts, organizational planning, and management practices in multi-theatre collaborative ventures.
Janice is an honors graduate from Ithaca College and has undertaken post-graduate studies at the Tish School of the Arts, New York University. She has a long history of being active in matters of local and state arts policy having served as a representative of, among others, the Greater New Haven Arts Council, the New Haven Regional Arts Planning Committee, and the Connecticut Commission on the Arts.
